Riding My Bike

The other day at my dad's house in Inarajan I noticed my training wheels on my bike were gone. My dad had taken them off! I said, "What happened to my training wheels?" to my dad. He said, "I took them off." I said, "Can we practice riding it?" "Yes, son!"
I got on my bike that is black with red flames. Awesome! My dad held the bike while I put my feet on the pedals. And he held onto the handle bars with me and walked the bike a few feet while I got my speed. He let go, gave me a little push and I rode in a circle and then...I fell off.

I kept trying and my dad helped me.

5 days later...
I have learned how to stop my bike and just this morning I rode in 47 laps. On the 17 lap I stopped and went inside the house to drink some water. And on the 25 lap I learned how to kick my bike back up went it was about to tip over!

Here are some tips for kids who are learning how to ride bikes:
  1. Keep your legs moving and concentrate on steering.
  2. Try to ride in the smoothest areas.
  3. Avoid rocks, holes and mud piles.
  4. Make sure to have an adult supervise you.
Good luck! And remember, keep wearing jeans!

Beach Walk at Tumon

Every now and then me and my mom and my sister go on beach walks on Tumon beach. Sometimes we eat at a Japanese restaurant called Bistro Tei where I always get ramen noodles, no meat. After that sometimes we get gelatos. Here are my three favorite flavors of gelatos: lime, chocolate and raspberry. Yum!
On the beach we see a lot of Japanese tourists. They seem to laugh a lot. One time we had our cousins Kim and Kina with us and they happened to have a ring tone on their phones that said, "Konnichiwa!" and we played it over and over as we walked by lots of Japanese tourist. One tourist said konnichiwa back to us! It was so funny!
We had a dog once named Jack (short for Capt. Jack Sparrows) and when we took him for a walk once on the beach he ran and jumped and scared all the people on the beach. It was so funny!
Well, that's pretty much all. And remember: Keep wearing jeans!

Stuff That Scares Me

I haven't that many scary movies, since I'm only seven! But I have seen a couple of scary movies. Scary to a five year old, I mean. Here's a list for Halloween of movies that scare me!

1: ItalicInvasion: This movie is scary mostly in the beginning. This guy has slime on his face and he keeps twitching and sweating.

2: Signs: I used to be totally scared of this movie. When I was five. They used to scare me because of the creepy way that they walk.

3: Heroes (TV show): In one episode they showed a old woman's body dripping with blood!

Okay, thats pretty much it. Happy Halloween! And remember to keep wearing jeans.

Best. Movies. Ever.

Hello everybody. Today I'm going to tell you some of my favorite movies. Put your jeans on, cause we're going for a ride!

Despicable Me

I liked this movie because I was picking my nose the whole time. Ha ha, just kidding!

Pirates of The Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest

I didn't see this movie in the theater ( cause I was only two and two year olds don't watch movies expect Dumbo), but I still love it!

X-Men Origins: Wolverine

My sister thought that Huge Jackman was hot!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Not anymore, though. She likes somebody else. And I can't tell you that one!

Ice Age

sThat was squirrel really wanted that nut, if was he I would have stopped trying to get it months ago!

Journey To The Center of The of Earth

This movie was good, because there was a lot of climbing on rocks and there was a big T-Rex. Okay, next movie.

Howl's Moving Castle

This huge had a castle. Well, actually, it was more like a huge tick that could move around.

That's all, guys! Keep wearing jeans.

The Dark Knight

On Sunday night, I  watched The Dark Knight. I watched  it because my Auntie Ana told me it was a good movie. So I decided to check it out. My favorite character was The Joker because......he's just funny. And stupid Batman couldn't make his mind up if he wanted to kill The Joker or save his life all the time.

My favorite part was when Batman was ridding  around on his little Bat-mobile. The Dark Knight was still an awesome movie. But I don't see why they needed those little clown guys that the Joker sent around.

Jingle bells, Batman smells, Robin laid an egg. The Bat-mobile lost a wheel and The Joker takes ballet hey!

I love my mom.

olaver

olaver is my Little brother he is 4 years old he is funny

Opposite Day

Opposite Day is my own holiday. It is when you say the opposite of something. For example, if you wanted to tell someone, "I love you," you would say instead, "I hate you." And if you would wanted to say I hate you, you would say I love you.

Clash of the Titans

Today I went to watch a movie with my dad and sister. The movie was called Clash of the Titans. 1-10 rating? IT SUCKED! It gets a 1.

Here's why I think it sucked: Well, there was a (annoying) girl and she died. My dad and I were so happy, but meanwhile she came back to life at the end of the movie! Sam Worthington who plays Perseus, the main character, was also very annoying but not as annoying as the girl. His voice sounded like he was a teenager going through puberty! His personality was also annoying; when everyone was going to die he saves them even if they're bad. What was very annoying was that Zeus had a shiny, sparkly suit which looks stupid because he's a guy.

Here's why I thought it was funny: First thing, all the dudes were wearing dresses that were old and torn. Second thing, there was a funny, skinny dude who burned his hand on purpose. My dad said it was funny because the dude talks weird just like Perseus.

That's all I can pretty much say about it.

And remember-- keep wearing jeans!

My Sister

My sister is a very nice person. Sometimes, she is a little crazy. She is very awesome. If you're a stranger you might want to know her name, huh? Well, it is Samantha Marley Barnett. My sister's favorite thing is books. Books, books, books. Her favorite book is called Interview With The Vampire by Anne Rice.

My sister sometimes locks me out of her room. I scratch on the door. I'm sorry for doing it. And if you're my mother you'll be very mad that I did that.

Sometimes, my sister plays with me. The games are fun.

Sometimes, my sister cuddles with her fat cat Jinx. I get jealous when she calls Jinx her sweetie. Jinx is named after a character in a book.

And that is what my sister usually does. And I love her so, so much. This post is for my beautiful, lovable and nice sister.

My New Scooter

My dad got me a new scooter. It is blue. It drives very smooth not like the my old one. My old one was so bumpy it felt like driving on the road with a scooter. He also got my sister one. Me and my sister play a game called 'Runner Rasy'. How you play is I try to cut Sam off her scooter. We play police man. I arrest her for speeding and other bad things.

That's all for today. And remember keep wearing jeans!

The Great Big Long Hike

Yesterday I went on a very long hike. It was fun. My uncle and cousins went with me. There was a lot of sword grass and there was some mud that sank when you stepped into it. The sword grass cut my skin and it hurt!!! And it stung!!!! Most of the time I was talking to my cousin Rain. We stopped to have breaks and ate snacks like chips, pretzels and water and we stuck our pretzels into the dirt so that we could remember our trail back. We went to some waterfalls called Lonfit Falls and me and my cousins Rain and Seth played scientist. We took my empty waterbottle and filled it up with water and pretended that the water could give you superpowers if you touched it. We also found little boogery pieces in the water. My mom said they weren't boogers but algae. We pretended to sneezed them out of our noses. We saw a crab, some grasshoppers and some small turds from an animal but we didn't know what kind of animal it came from! We got very dirty and had really dirt feet. the end!!!!

Purple Carrots

I made a really cool blue carrot with play dough. My mom told me that she read somewhere that carrots were originally (that means "their real story") purple so we looked it up and found this picture. Then we read about purple carrots and discovered that carrots were first purple, white, black, red or even green! Then in Holland (my mom says that's in Europe, she showed me on a map) they started growing orange carrots because that was their color (my mom says their nation's or country's color). I thought that was cool! How did they do that anyway?

Keep wearing jeans! Len
I tried to upload my picture of the blue carrot I made but it was way too big. We'll try again later...:(

Unfreeze Me Please

Chapter 1

Once upon a time there was a man who lived in a small cottage. Everyday he walked three miles and as he walked he whittled with a carving knife. One day he walked and he walked and he walked. He walked 30 miles, not 3! And he saw a big, big building. Way bigger than his small cottage. He read a sign in the front that said, "Welcome To Mia's Museum" and to go in it cost $15. The man had exactly $15. He went into the museum, paid the money and walked in. He looked to his right and saw a glass case that showed a caveman inside. He then looked to his left and he saw an Indian also in a glass case. The Indian said to the man, "Bop the caveman on the head!" The man said, "How do I do that?" "Take out your knife and break the glass. Bop him on the head with your hand!" The man broke the glass and bopped the caveman on the head. And then suddenly the caveman blinked. His head turned. He started walking toward the man...

Chapter 2

The caveman said, "akdsjf;ladkjsfaoiuf!" The Indian said, "Don't listen to him!" The man said okay. The Indian said, "Now break my glass case and bop me on the head." He wanted to come alive and move, too. So the man broke the glass with his carving knife and bopped him on the head. The Indian walked to him, looked at him and smiled.

Chapter 3

Then the man looked behind him and he saw a dinosaur. The man said, "Okay...should I bop him on the head?" The Indian said, "No! He will attack all of us." The man then did not trust the Indian so he broke the glass case for the T-Rex. The Indian grabbed his carving knife, took it away from him and said, "No!! I told you, he will kill all of us." The man turned and his hand then accidentally slipped and he pushed the dinosaur. The dinosaur fell down which shook the ground. A light from the ceiling then fell onto the dinosaur's head! The dinosaur blinked...(scary music plays...da da dum...)

Chapter 4

He looked in front of him and he saw a woolly mammoth. He broke the glass case hard with his fist and climbed up his tusk and bopped him on the head. The woolly mammoth turned his head, his tusk looked sharp, sharper than the man's carving knife. The woolly mammoth started running towards the T-Rex. And, Bam! They hit each other and the T-Rex fell to the ground.

Chapter 5

The T-Rex was dead. The woolly mammoth was also badly injured and he suddenly fell to the ground and was dead. The man looked around and couldn't find the Indian or the caveman. He was surprised and didn't know what to do.

To be continued...

My Friend Andrew

My friend Andrew like pretzels. His favorite color is black. He is a ghost. He is also a policeman and he is from Africa. He died because one day he visited this house where Frankenstein lived and all these other scary guys. Frankenstein didn't like him because Andrew was a human so he stabbed him and now Andrew is a ghost. He didn't want to be near Frankenstein so he came to Guam. His parents are still alive and they cannot find Andrew-- it is a mystery.

One time we went to Australia together. Another time we went to Antarctica and saw another friend who is a wolf and his mother. Andrew's eyes are blue but when he is really mean his eyes turn red. We eat lot of pretzels together. Andrew is fun and my mom doesn't mind him in the house but one time he was looking at people in the shower so my mom had to have a talk with him and now he doesn't do that any more. He can stay but he has to be good.

Here is a picture I took of Andrew. He looks a little like me but he is African.

Keep wearing jeans, Len

Arts and Crafts

I have been making a lot of things lately. One of the things I wanted to make was a diorama (not diareha!) so my mom and I looked for a shoe box to use but could not find one (thought we could go out and buy shoes for someone so that we could use the box but my mom said we didn't have enough money to do that) so instead we used an old empty oatmeal container which is long and round. My mom cut part of it open and then we taped the cover to the bottom so that it would not roll around. Then we got some photos of outside pictures to use as a background from an old National Geographic magazine (is it okay to cut out pictures from National Geographic magazine?my mom wants to know). I then looked through a old workbook for pictures that I liked and cut those out. They weren't very strong to stand on their own so my mom suggested that I glue the pictures to some construction paper to make them stronger. Then we glued our background to the oatmeal container and added our pictures. I liked how it turned out. I can't really play with it but it was fun to make!

Yesterday my mom and I were driving in our car and I looked up at the sky and saw some beautiful clouds. I showed my mom and we said that they looked a lot like cotton balls. Then I got an idea for a collage that I could make using cotton balls and construction paper(my favorite!). I thought it would be cool to make a picture of a pig sitting in a mud puddle. My mom and I talked about different ways that pigs can look (have you ever seen a stripped pig?) and we also talked about how smart pigs are (as smart as a three year old like my little cousin Noelle) and how people could keep pigs as pets. But we also thought that it wouldn't be so great to have a pig as a pet because it would run around your house and head butt you a lot! My mom said she thought that some animals just are happier outside in the wild. So this morning I made my collage. It was fun and I got a little crazy with the glue (in my mom's opinion).

Here are some pictures I took of my projects. Hope you like them. I'll post more about other projects later. Keep wearing jeans--Len

Who am I?

My name is Lennon Barnett. I am a five year old boy. I'm unschooled. That means I learn doing projects, reading books, playing games, making up stories, drawing pictures. I am a good artist. I am a really good reader! I like 'Captain Underpants' books by Dav Pilkey. I lost five teeth so far.......
